This unique instrument provides timbral possibilities through a design not offered by any other manufacturer today. Our bass marimba uses the finest Honduras rosewood, crafted into extra wide bars and paired with expertly tuned resonators to produce a luxurious bass sound. At Kori Percussion, our professional staff realizes that it is not always the most convenient task to move the one five octave marimba that a percussion department owns, from set up to set up just to access a few low notes. That is why Kori has designed the three octave bass marimba to provide a resonant bass without the upper two octaves of a standard marimba. With this in mind, we work hard to make sure that the Kori Bass Marimba is optimally tuned for maximum bass tone and resonance.
