Sankyo Concert Flute Models
The most popular model of all the SANKYO Flutes and is made with the solid silver head joint. Reflecting SANKYO'S earnest attitude to pursue the best sound, the Model Etude basically follows after the design and the make of silver flutes, except for the Eb key. The finest quality head joint, and the secure body as well as the totally balanced construction can produce the beautiful sound like the silver flutes.

The curved model is constructed with the peculiar type of curved head joint that makes the range of mouthpiece and key mechanism smaller, the total position the most suitable for playing alto flute. For the more positive performance, for the higher level capacity, the following different type mechanism options are available.
NE
The newest improvement to play the E note of the third octave without the conventional E-mechanism. Small G tone hole and perfectly adjusted all other tone holes are to solve the difficult finger touch of the G-A trill and other minor playing obstacles.
NEL
Same size cap is fixed for Hand-made(DN) and (SR).
B-C# Trill Key
The key mechanism designed to play the high (B)-C# trill easily with the right forefinger instead of the left forefinger and right thumb together. Available for Hand-made (DR) and Hand-made (SR).
E-Mechanism
Designed to play easily the E note of the third octave that is difficult in general, because of the flute construction, particularly the G# close type flute. Available for all the concert flutes.
G-A Trill Key
Designed for the easier playing by functioning the high G-A trill and D trill keys together. Available for Hand-made (DN) and Hand-made (SR).
The head joint and mouthpiece are the most important parts of the flutes that the flutists blow in the life of sound.
Round shoulder (RS) types
Both edges of this mouth-hole have been slightly rounded and the plate height and mouth-hole have been altered to allow for a larger and richer variety of tones.
The 6 different types, NRS-1, RS-1, RS-2, RS-3, RS-4, and RS-5 also feature the ample volume as well as the wide and stable register.
RS1- The front part of the plate is higher to get a larger sound volume in the bass compass. The plate dimensions fall in between the high wave and standard mouthpieces
RS2 - Basically similar to the standard type, but both sides are shaven larger than the standard type to effect entire compass.
RS3 - The plate is a little straighter and the embouchure hole a little more shallower than those of the RS2's.
RS4 - The inside cut of the embouchure
hole is cut tightly while both edges of the bottom are widely
rounded.
Standard - The ordinary type, but improved
for the sharp rise and larger variety of tonal effect. The
basic type for every kind of efficiency and the typical type of
SANKYO mouthpiece.
Curved Head Joint - To meet with the dream of
children to enjoy the flute playing as early as possible.
This curved head joint is ideal for children to play flutes easily.
